I am not a designer with an opinion. I am the architect of the system

I have built brands for fifteen years. I do not deliver a picture that works today. I build complete visual systems: from logo to identity to the platform a brand sells on. Every system stands on a mathematical foundation that still holds up in ten years.

In the early years I drew by instinct, like almost everyone in this field. Now I build on a calculation model. Every measurement, margin and proportion follows from it.

From drawing to constructing

I started with drawing. Fifteen years of logos, largely under my own steam, with agency internships in between. There I saw up close how brands get made: by changing hands, under time pressure, with decisions that worked in the moment and fell apart later. I drew proportions that looked right on the day of delivery and watched them break the moment someone enlarged the logo or a supplier took it over.

The problem was not the talent. It was the absence of a system. I rebuilt my craft around that. I went independent and traded decorative design for the role of Brand Systems Architect. Brand Systems Architect is not a label. It is the method. I did not invent that shift at a desk. I found it step by step, by watching for years what goes wrong and why.

I keep deepening that foundation. I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Not to draw more beautifully, but to understand the technology under my systems to its foundation.

One architect, one method

Rink® is not an agency with a team that approaches every assignment differently. Rink® is me. One architect, one method, one system. Anyone who hires me does not get a different decision-maker on every project, each pulling in their own direction. You get the same foundation, regardless of the project.

That also means I cannot do everything at once. I take on a maximum of three projects at a time. Every project gets full capacity. Three is the limit within which I can build a system that holds up.

Creativity without technique is decoration

Most logos are built on gut feeling. They look right on the day of delivery and weaken with every application after that. I work the other way around. The construction comes first, in black and white. Every anchor point follows fixed proportions: the golden ratio for organic proportions, root-2 for geometrically stable proportions. Colour is locked down exactly. Typography and layout follow a fixed scale and a strict grid.

On that foundation comes the refinement, within the limits mathematics sets. Instinct steers the finish. The construction keeps the brand standing. Beauty follows from that. It is not the goal.

A wordmark constructed on fixed geometry

This is a methodology demonstration of Logo Fundament. The wordmark uiux is built entirely from circles, squares and a fixed line weight. Every measurement follows from the same model.

This construction is the foundation under every project. With Logo Fundament it delivers a documented logo. With Identity System and Brand Authority it is the first layer of a complete system.

A visitor judges before they read

A visitor forms their judgement of a brand in tenths of a second. That judgement lands before they have read a word. What the brain sees at that moment determines whether the rest of the message gets a chance.

Visual noise lowers that judgement. The brain reads a page full of loose elements and decoration without logic as cluttered, and it translates cluttered into less trustworthy. The brain reads a page with clear structure as quality. That judgement is not about beauty. It is about processing speed.

That is why I remove noise and keep structure. This page is built on the same rules.

I do not build for everyone

I work for ambitious SME owners and scale-up founders. Operationally mature, visually underdeveloped. Companies that understand visual fragmentation costs revenue before the conversation begins.

A collaboration only starts after a mutual introduction. I check whether it fits my way of working, you check whether it fits your ambition. That is not a barrier for the sake of being difficult. It is the basis under work that has to last for years.

Who I do not build for

  1. Anyone looking for a quick, decorative refresh for a logo

  2. Anyone who wants to make decisions on gut feeling

  3. Anyone who prefers billing by the hour

How a project begins

A collaboration begins with three steps. Every step is a selection moment, for me and for you.

01 · The Brand Audit

23 questions · 7 minutes

You fill in the questionnaire. It shows where the brand is leaking and how solid the foundation is. Within 48 hours the report is ready.

02 · Online introduction

15 minutes

A mutual selection, not a sales pitch. The project only starts if it fits my way of working and your ambition.

03 · Strategic session

60 minutes

You bring in the goals and the market position. After that I take over. No briefings, no supplying content, no production work.

Your quality has already earned the authority

The image lags behind what you deliver. The Brand Audit maps in 7 minutes where the brand is leaking and how solid the foundation is. Within 48 hours the personal report is ready.
